On this page I will highlight all of the software and tools I use daily, aside every recommendation will be a hyperlink to read my review of why I use that particular product or service including various step by step guides and buyer guides.
I will also make recommendations on products I have previously used and what I have replaced them with and why.
Since April 2019 I’ve been using Kinsta as our main web hosting provider, these are absolutely fantastic and definitely recommended.
10th November 2016 Update
I’ve found quite a few people on the Facebook group asking what hosting to get, as you can read below I am with Scalahosting and recommend them 100%. I don’t do this for huge commissions (in fact they offer very small commissions compared to hosts such as Bluehost or Hostgator), I am not recommending them for the cash, I am recommending them because they’re simply the best I have tried and right now they have a 50% off deal which is crazy, especially considering I’ve spent $1,600 on my annual renewal only 2 months ago!
What Scalahosting Package do I recommend?
This really depends on how many sites you have, what they’re running on, how many visitors you get e.t.c so I can’t give specific recommendations as there are so many factors to consider.
However, what I will say is you should go for cloud hosting, they have 5 packages available so I am sure most of you will be able to find a package that will suit your needs.
Important: when you select a package and begin customizing it, be sure to select Lite Speed Web Server, especially if you run WordPress websites because I’ve seen a huge uplift in speeds since beginning to use LWS.
Throughout the past 10+ years, I’ve used a variety of hosting companies, some which are still around (Hostgator, Godaddy, 1&1, Doreo, Bluehost, Hostnine) as well as those which may not be around anymore. However, for the past 3 years and counting I’ve been using Scalahosting, originally I signed up to their VPS Pro package and recently (25th August 2016) moved to their Cloud Enterprise package at a similar cost, but ridiculously more powerful! They are the only host I recommend and that is because they have excellent support, almost zero downtime and the servers are impeccable and very fast.
So, if you want a reliable, fast host with awesome support then I suggest you take a look at Scalahosting.
If you haven’t yet created a Godaddy account then even better, you can get some great deals if you are a new customer including a .com domain name for just $0.99. Godaddy have a large amount of coupons, but most of them are for new customers (at least the most beneficial), however having said that they are still my go-to provider for .com domains and I currently have more than 50 domains registered with them. I do not however, recommend any of their other services, including hosting. Just domain registration!
If you are looking for the latest domain extensions, anything other than .com then I would suggest going with Namecheap, they have some great offers and also cover a ridiculously large amount of domain extensions, including recent introductions such as .guide, .review and more.
